Overview

Research reactors are specialized nuclear reactors designed for research, development, education, and training. These reactors enable groundbreaking discoveries and advancements across various scientific disciplines. Unlike power reactors, which are primarily designed to produce electricity, research reactors are significantly smaller and tailored for experimental and educational purposes.

There are currently over 200 reactors operating globally, half of which are over 40 years old.1 Celeros FT offer maintenance plans and support for our pump and valve equipment that are employed in these research reactors.

Nuclear Safety – At Our Core

Research reactor projects must comply with the same international nuclear safety standards as nuclear power stations. With over 60 years of experience supplying pumps and valves for the nuclear industry, Celeros FT’s equipment is fully compliant with international certification standards, including ASME and RCC-M.

This ensures that our solutions meet the highest safety and quality standards required for nuclear applications.

With a history of excellence in engineering, Celeros FT offers innovative solutions tailored to the unique challenges of research reactors with products such as our reactor coolant pumps which are critical for ensuring the primary cooling system continuously circulates coolant from the reactor core to the heat exchanger, effectively removing the heat generated by the reactor core.
