Trims & Pneumatic Actuators

Trims

At the heart of any control valve is the trim. Designed to handle demanding service caused by the thermodynamics of the system: noise, high velocity, cavitation, flashing and high pressure drop. Our Copes-Vulcan trim set includes: Hush™, Raven™, Soft seated Hush™, Unbalanced single seat plug throttling, Cav B9, Top guided, One stage Hush™ and Cascade.

Pneumatic Diaphragm Actuators

Series 700 Actuators: Pneumatic diaphragm operators with spring return, available in both direct-acting (fail-open) and reverse-acting (fail-closed) models. These actuators can be equipped with various springs to accommodate a wide range of forces acting on a valve plug. Additionally, an integrated adjustment mechanism allows fine-tuning of spring pre-compression for optimal performance.

Series 1000 Actuators: Designed for severe-duty applications where shock and vibration are present. Rigorously tested for seismic and environmental conditions, they meet the stringent requirements for nuclear applications.
