Integration Day for Apprentices in Annecy, France

On October 9, 2025, the Human Resources team based in Annecy, France, hosted a dedicated Apprentice Integration Day to welcome our newest cohort of apprentices to ClydeUnion Pumps. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment, while helping new team members build connections and gain a deeper understanding of our operations.

The day began with a warm and informal breakfast, bringing together apprentices and their mentors. This was followed by a roundtable introduction session, where each participant had the opportunity to share a bit about themselves. To spark conversation and encourage openness, each introduction was paired with a light-hearted anonymous question - an engaging way to break the ice and promote mutual discovery.

The morning continued with a guided tour of the workshop led by Christophe Bourgeois, Sales Director, who provided valuable insights into the site’s layout and operations. Sylvain Moine, Mechanical Engineer, then gave an informative presentation on the various types of pumps manufactured at the site, along with an overview of the technical domains in which ClydeUnion Pumps operates.

After lunch, the apprentices were introduced to the design office by Elise Acloque, Technical Director, who also addressed the critical topic of IT security and its role in our daily operations. The afternoon concluded with a presentation from Muriel Blanchard, Project Quality Manager, who spoke about our commitment to quality and the importance of nuclear safety in our work.

To round off the day, apprentices took part in a lively team-building activity inspired by the popular Fort Boyard game show. This fun and energetic session encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and camaraderie - an ideal way to celebrate the start of their professional journey with us.

Dans une démarche de cohésion et d’accompagnement, le service Ressources Humaines a organisé une journée d’intégration dédiée aux alternants, le 9 octobre 2025. L’objectif : leur permettre de faire connaissance, de découvrir l’environnement de travail et de mieux comprendre les activités de l’entreprise.

La journée a débuté par un petit-déjeuner convivial réunissant les alternants et leurs tuteurs. Un tour de table a permis à chacun de se présenter, accompagné d’une question posée anonymement, favorisant les échanges et la découverte mutuelle.

La matinée s’est poursuivie par une visite de l’atelier guidée par Christophe BOURGEOIS, Directeur commercial, suivie d’une intervention de Sylvain MOINE, Ingénieur mécanique, qui a présenté les différents types de pompes ainsi que les domaines d’intervention du site.

Après un déjeuner partagé dans une ambiance détendue, les alternants ont poursuivi leur immersion avec Elise ACLOQUE, Directrice technique, qui leur a présenté le bureau d’études et abordé les enjeux de la sécurité IT. Muriel BLANCHARD, Gestionnaire qualité projet, est ensuite intervenue pour une présentation sur la qualité et la sûreté nucléaire.

Pour clôturer cette journée riche en découvertes, une activité de team building sur le thème de Fort Boyard a permis aux alternants de relever des défis en équipe, dans une ambiance dynamique et ludique. Une belle manière de marquer le début de leur aventure professionnelle au sein de ClydeUnion Pumps.
