Decarbonization is a key theme for Celeros FT at ADIPEC 2024

11/01/24

We’ve chosen decarbonization as our key theme at ADIPEC this year, with our President & CEO, Jose Larios, leading the way.

Jose is participating in a strategic panel focused on Decarbonizing the Industrial Manufacturing Value Chain. Among the topics under discussion are innovative technology deployment, policies such as Europe's Green Deal and the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), and the role of global collaboration in delivering the energy transition. Join Jose and the other panelists for this fascinating session in the ICC Hall on 5 November, 12-1pm.

Towards net zero

On Stand 4470, we’re featuring our latest OEM and aftermarket flow control solutions — designed to ensure industrial operations perform in the most efficient and sustainable way to support our customers’ net zero strategies.

Based on our high performance pumps, valves, and closures, our solutions help minimize greenhouse gas emissions, decarbonize processes, and reduce energy consumption in applications from conventional oil & gas and power to emerging markets such as carbon capture and storage (CCS), biofuels, hydrogen, and green ammonia.

For example, ADNOC has appointed us to provide high-pressure injection packages for a new CCS facility at its existing Habshan gas plant. Incorporating advanced pump technology from our ClydeUnion Pumps brand, these supercritical CO2 injection packages will be among the world’s largest. We’ve also been chosen to supply new water injection packages for a power-from-shore electrification project, which will dramatically reduce the customer’s carbon footprint.

Reducing emissions, improving safety

Products on display include the CFT-Green Valve Packing System from M&J Valve, which reduces fugitive emissions across pipelines. It provides a safe and efficient sealing solution for valves, enabling engineers in the oil & gas, chemical, and power generation industries to increase safety while reducing environmental impacts.

Alongside is the patented Pig Stop and Bypass (PSB) mechanism from GD Engineering, which allows automated pigging on oil & gas pipelines to be managed remotely and reliably, either from land or a main platform. Enabling complete automation of pig launch processes, the PSB mechanism can improve safety, reduce platform footprint, and realize cost savings through reduced manpower.

Optimizing lifecycle performance

Visitors can also find out more about our comprehensive aftermarket services, developed to add value at every stage of the operational lifecycle by improving overall efficiency and lowering carbon intensity. Our services are increasingly in demand from customers seeking to augment operational parameters or modify existing processes.
