Celeros FT supports UK National Apprenticeship Week 2023

Our UK operations are celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2023 (NAW2023) with a number of special events designed to encourage the employees of the future, including collaboration with local schools.

Through its brands, Celeros Flow Technology has a long and proud tradition of developing new talent. Our Cathcart site in Glasgow took on its first apprentice back in 1889 and continues to recruit to this day.

Our latest programme offers 48 apprenticeships over six years, with 22 recruited across 2021/2022 and a further 26 planned for 2023-2026.

“Many of our current skilled workforce joined us through an apprenticeship,” says Lauren White, HR Manager. “And although staying with the same employer is not so common these days, many of our employees do decide to stay with the business longterm. Some have more than 50 years’ service with us, which is an amazing achievement.”

Running from Monday 6^th – Sunday 12^th February, NAW2023 is a celebration of the benefits that apprenticeships present, and a chance for everyone involved to raise awareness, understanding and excitement around the opportunities they provide. The theme for NAW2023 is ‘Skills for Life’. The week brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
