Celeros FT Signs Strategic Agreement with CANDU Energy to Advance Nuclear Innovation

05/13/25

Celeros FT are proud to announce a significant milestone in our commitment to the future of clean energy: we’ve signed a Preferred Vendor Agreement (PVA) with CANDU Energy, an AtkinsRéalis company. This strategic partnership will see our pump specialists working closely with CANDU Energy to support the future deployment of CANDU® nuclear technology in Canada and around the world.

The agreement was formally signed on April 2 at CANDU Energy’s headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario. The event was attended by industry peers, senior representatives from AtkinsRéalis, and local government officials. Representing Celeros FT were Bill Cronauer, Regional Commercial Director, Americas, and Ash Moham, Regional Sales Manager for Nuclear, Americas.

Ash Moham shared his thoughts on the partnership:

“We’re proud to have signed a Preferred Vendor Agreement with CANDU Energy, further solidifying our commitment to delivering nuclear-grade, ‘Made-in-Canada’ flow control solutions for CANDU technology - a globally recognized Canadian innovation.

This partnership not only celebrates our nuclear engineering legacy but also reinforces our ongoing investment in Ontario-based manufacturing and the development of Canadian talent. At a time when the world is looking for cleaner energy, we are focusing on solutions that are designed, engineered, and built right here in Ontario to power the next generation of nuclear projects - at home and abroad.

We are excited to deepen our collaboration with CANDU Energy and other industry leaders, advancing a shared mission: accelerating the global energy transition through Canadian innovation and excellence.”

Joe St Julian, President, Nuclear at AtkinsRéalis signs PVA with Bill Cronauer, Regional Sales Director, Americas at Celeros Flow Technology

As one of a select group of strategic vendors chosen to sign the PVA, we’re honored to contribute to this collaborative effort. Together, we’ll identify opportunities, share expertise, and support the development of innovative technologies and technical specifications for future CANDU reactor projects.

CANDU technology is a cornerstone of Canadian innovation. It is the only domestically developed and licensed nuclear technology in the country, using natural uranium and uniquely capable of co-producing medical isotopes used in cancer treatment. The current CANDU fleet in Ontario also produces 50% of the world’s supply of Cobalt-60, essential for sterilizing medical devices. This new agreement will help extend these benefits to communities both in Canada and globally.

Celeros FT has been a trusted partner in the nuclear industry for decades. Our safety-critical flow control solutions have supported the optimal lifecycle performance of nuclear energy plants and nuclear-powered vessels worldwide. From the first industrial-scale nuclear power plant to today’s global fleet, our nuclear pump and valve technologies are installed in over 65% of operational nuclear power plants.

We look forward to continuing our legacy of innovation and excellence in partnership with CANDU Energy, helping to shape a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.
