Nuclear Residual Heat Removal Pump

Product Category:

Nuclear Pumps

A nuclear residual heat removal pump is a vital component in nuclear power plants. Its main purpose is to extract residual heat from the reactor core after the reactor has been shut down. This function is critical for maintaining safe temperature levels and preventing the risk of overheating.

Features

Depending on your project specifications, we offer two pump options for residual heat removal applications: the CUP-OH2 and CUP-BB2 pumps.

CUP-OH2

  • A rigid shaft design with a minimized deflection at the seal faces below API 610 criteria provides a longer mechanical seal life
  • High rigidity baseplate designs are among the stiffest in the industry
  • Bearing housing cooling fins provide optimum heat transfer.
CUP-BB2
  • Heavy-duty construction ensures exceptional reliability and a very high mean time between failures, even in the most demanding applications
  • Reliable operation at elevated temperatures is ensured by various cooling methodologies
  • Stringent API noise and vibration limits are met due to a rigid pump body with 180 or 360-degree bearing support

Description

CUP-OH2 Pump

Heavy-duty, single-stage, radially split, overhung, end-suction pump designed to API 610 standards. CUP-OH2 pumps meet stringent API noise and vibration limits with a rigid pump body, 360-degree bearing support and heavy centerline mounting. Reliable at high temperatures due to cooling methodologies and cool-running bearing modules. Back pull-out design allows removal of the rotating assembly without disturbing pipework.

CUP-BB2 Pump

Horizontal, centerline or foot-mounted, radially split, one- and two-stage, between-bearing pumps. They are designed and manufactured to the latest edition of API 610 and are available with top-top or side-side suction and discharge connections.
