Celeros Flow Technology has a growing network of manufacturing bases and service centers around the world. As a trusted lifecycle partner to many of the world’s critical flow control systems, it is important for us to ensure that our customers can access the same high standards of engineering excellence, wherever they are based.

Supporting this principle, our Copes-Vulcan brand recently held a cross- functional training class in Winsford, UK, for their application engineering team based in India and USA. The training involved employees from three continents. Embracing both the manufacturing and aftermarket service aspects of our valves business, it included topics such as product technical information, sizing and selection, and pricing guidance.

Copes-Vulcan manufactures state-of-the-art control valves, actuators and steam conditioning equipment for dealing with liquids, vapors and gases. These valve solutions are used extensively in severe and critical service applications in the power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial processing and nuclear energy sectors. It is therefore imperative that they are manufactured accurately, consistently and to extremely high tolerances. Sharing knowledge across Copes-Vulcan teams around the globe is an essential part of ensuring that our customers benefit from quality engineered valves and outstanding service and support.

The training was delivered by employees from Copes-Vulcan sites in the UK, working together as a cross-functional team. The programme brought together employees from sales, technical management, engineering, and project management, and provided the opportunity for the entire team to get to know each other face to face.

The training sessions took place between February 6th and February 17th, 2023. After training at the Winsford site, our Indian colleagues went on to visit the Copes-Vulcan facility at Newbury, which has recently undergone a period of investment and modernization. The Indian team witnessed our valves being tested and assembled and gained first-hand experience of Copes-Vulcan valves and aftermarket parts in various stages of manufacture.
